the farm

  • the animals

30 chickens, 5 goats, 3 sheep, 10 alpacas, 3 bunnies. Little Farmers work with the Big Farmers to help get the chores done.

  • the land

Located on three acres and only 10 minutes southwest of downtown Spokane, our little farm has a 1/4 acre garden, a baby orchard, and pumpkin patch. For art projects and to get out of inclement weather, we head into Clifford, the Big Red Shipping Container.

the teachers

  • Amy Hacker

Amy has worked for Spokane Public Schools for the past ten years as a classroom overflow aide and substitute teacher at Spokane Public Montessori. She has a background in biology from St. Cloud State University and Gonzaga University. She loves science and doing things with her hands: crafting, knitting, cooking/baking. She also loves the outdoors, camping and hiking with her family. Amy is so excited to be present with all the young absorbent minds at the Little Farm School this fall!

  • Susannah Klotz

Susannah is a seasoned early childhood educator we are very lucky to have at farm school! After spending many years as a preschool teacher in a private program on the west side of the state, Susannah moved eastward with her family and has been providing in-home childcare since.

Susannah is a serious dog-lover and very talented photographer when she isn’t organizing fun activities and play for Little Farmers.

She is excited to work with your kids and see them grow alongside each other.
